Busbridge Parish Council is changing its name to Munstead and Tuesley Parish Council
We are pleased to report that we are being renamed Munstead and Tuesley Parish Council for the Local Elections on 4 May 2023.
Waverley Borough Council carried out a Community Governance Review of all its towns and parishes during 2022. We took this opportunity to request a change of name, mindful of the confusion that Busbridge is not geographically within our parish. After much deliberation, we proposed the name Munstead and Tuesley Parish Council.
Our proposal was included in the public consultation by Waverley Borough Council between 3 May and 6 June 2022. This was then accepted by Waverley Borough Council at its meeting on 19 July 2022 on the basis that the name helps to:
better reflect our local identities and interests of our community, and
secure a more effective and convenient governance of our area.
We are in the process of updating our website and notice boards accordingly.
